Dear Prospective Registrant,

 

Georgia TRiO in conjunction with its community partners will sponsor its 2nd Annual S.T.E.M. Academy event on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 8:00AM – 3:00PM on the campus of Atlanta Metropolitan State College in Atlanta, GA. This ONE-DAY conference will consist of fast-paced academic competitions, interactive presentations, hands-on workshops, a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) focused college and career fair, Robotics & Drone competitions, website, video game and mobile application design, and much more. The main goal of this day is to expose students in the southeast region to the S.T.E.M. fields. The theme for this event is: “S.T.E.M. Wars: The Race to Innovation & Global Success”. This year's S.T.E.M. Wars event is projected to bring together 100 industry-leading professionals and over 1,000 middle, high school & college students that are aspiring to be the first in their families to go to college.

 

The goal is to provide:

• Hands-on activities to excite and engage students

• Curriculum support aligned with state and national standards

• Access to innovative equipment and technology

• Access to experienced and highly-qualified teachers and industry professionals

• Learning activities covering a wide variety of grade levels and S.T.E.M. topics

 

Enclosed you will find all necessary registration forms for all of the S.T.E.M. Academy related activities. The registration fee for full participation is ONLY $35.00 per person. This price covers breakfast, lunch, a conference gift, a program booklet, and participation in all of the S.T.E.M. Academy activities.

 

You MUST register for this event using the ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM. The registration and payment information must be submitted by March 17, 2017. If there is a lengthy payment request procedure at your institution, please send a purchase order. Cancellation requests can be made until March 17, 2017.
